12 Days of Christmas, 6-1-forte style

‘Tis the season!

Gigging season, that is.

One of the most exciting times of the year for 6-1-forte, that is for sure. Once the holidays come upon us, as you may guess we find ourselves with a unique amount of opportunities to celebrate the Yuletide spirit. It all boils down to this: people love carolers. And they want to feel all warm and fuzzy, holly and jolly, and merry and bright. That's where we come in.

So, this is a HUGE amount of fun for us. When you heard from us last, we riding high off our first home-grown “Sip and Sing”, a friends-and-family event that was a really special project for our crew. Since then, this fall has really blessed with some fun ways to partner with various organizations in Columbus, including Light the Night Columbus, the Franklin Park Conservatory, the Pickerington Farmer’s Market, and The Grand Nursing Home. We have so far really enjoyed each chance to meet and mingle with our fellow art-loving Columbus brethren, champion causes we are excited about, and bring the joy of music to people of all ages.

And, we aren’t showing any signs of slowing down – this December, we are partnering with one of our long-time collaborators and beloved Columbus arts organizations, BalletMet! We are thrilled to announce we will be caroling our hearts out with a lively, eclectic mix of familiar Christmas hymns and popular tunes before the majority of BalletMet’s showings of The Nutcracker.

Let’s be real, this may be some of the most fun we have all year. Families coming together to watch a time-honored classic, kiddos in their snazziest (and most adorable) attire, and plenty of Christmas spirit to go around. We hope to see if you there, if you’re feeling festive and up for a holiday adventure!

But first, take a walk in our shoes and please enjoy a 6-1-forte take on a holiday classic tune, "12 Days of Christmas."
